In 1989 the entrepreneur Giorgio Agosta, decided to produce “Ciappa ri pummaroru” (Ciappa tomatoes), or rather the sun-dried tomato and in 1998, thanks to his experience in tomato production and drying techniques, he and his wife founded Agriblea farm.
Agriblea cultivates and produces “Ciappa tomatoes”; a traditional organic product that does not contain any preservatives, is naturally dried in the sun, has been awarded PAT (traditional agroindustrial product) status by the Sicilian government since 2003, and is certified organic, Bio Suisse, BRC, IFS, GlobalGAP, and GRASP.
In 2015, the Company transferred its headquarters due to space issues into a new, larger facility and in the same year adopted 100% compostable packaging.
